 Counting the
days until your honeymoon? Here is a check list to help you
get started in planning your once in a lifetime vacation:
Six Months Prior
Start thinking of the type of honeymoon you and
your fiancée are interested in. Will it be a cruise along the
Mediterranean, an exotic getaway in Costa Rica or a Ski Chalet
in Aspen. The choices are endless. Now is the time your budget
should come into play. Set your budget to include everything
from airline tickets, to food and drink, this way you will not
be surprised when it is time to pay for everything.
Also think about using a honeymoon
registry. This way you can go on that unforgettable honeymoon
and not worry about the cost. Your friends and family will
enjoy the fact that they are contributing to your dream
vacation.

Five Months
Prior
Now is the time to start thinking if you
will need a passport. If so, you should contact your local
passport office for advice and instructions.
If you
have finalized your decision on your destination, then get in
contact with your travel agent and starting getting
information on any specials that might be available. |

Three Months
Prior
All reservations should have been made and
secured. Make sure you have your airline seats assigned, and
send in all necessary deposits. Now is the time to start
researching all of the different activities that are available
in your destination. Check with your travel agent about
pre-paying them so you are confirmed before you go. |

Two Months
Prior
Go ahead and start pre-packing. Pull out
those ski boots or bikini. Now is the time to see if there is
anything new you need to add to your wardrobe. Do you need new
luggage? Add that to your honeymoon registry or department
store registry. Check with your doctor to see if you need any
special inoculations to the countries you will be
visiting. |

One Month Prior
Pay bills, advise the post office to hold your
mail, tell the paperboy you will be on vacation and arrange
for someone to take care of your pets. Next make sure your
camera works, check the batteries and buy film if needed.

One Week Before Departure
Purchase extra travel insurance . . . Refill
medications . . . Pack your carry-on bag . . . Get cash and
travelers checks . . Reconfirm all of your travel
reservations. |

Day of Departure
Check over all of your travel documents and make
sure you have them packed in your carry on including your
passport if needed. Now hop on a plane and enjoy your
honeymoon!" |
